    Great solution for motorcycle

I put this amp in the saddlebag on my motorcycle and used it to drive 4 MB Quart 6.5" coaxials mounted in the lids. The power and sound quality that comes out of this little amp was totally unexpected. I played 2 songs at almost full power and the amp was only slightly warm to the touch. With some EQ tweaking, the highs were crisp and clear and I was able to get some decent sounding mid bass without any distortion. The USB plug will not play music files from a smartphone or device, but it will charge your linked Bluetooth device. Let's be honest, almost everyone has a Bluetooth smartphone these days. That's just as good as any flash drive or USB stick when it comes to playing music files. I was hesitant with buying a Bluetooth only device since sound quality is my main focus, but other reviews drove me to make the purchase. The quality of this Bluetooth device is unlike any other I've ever heard. I would easily compare it to a wired USB or flash drive. The controller is very slim but manageable. I LOVE the fact that it comes with a threaded quarter turn mount on the back. This made mounting it to my handlebars very easy with a separately purchased adapter. If you have a factory radio, you can utilize the front and rear line inputs to use the amp as solely an amp. It also has a line output to daisy chain a sub amp if you so desire. The one thing I wish kenwood would have done was put some sort of preamp EQ level controls physically on the amp. Maybe the small footprint would have been sacrificed, and for that reason I understand. Since my iPhone will be my main Bluetooth device I had to rely on the preset EQ bands on the phone. My work around for this was to download an app for $2.99. I now have full EQ control over this device. Overall I would definitely recommend this unit for anyone seeking a good amount of power and sound where a conventional head unit wouldn't work. Well worth the money at $140.

    On my Motorcycle

I bought this for my motorcycle to control the volume from my satellite radio, I'm not using a radio. The volume control is only for the Bluetooth cell phone. If it had it's own external volume control it would be one of the best amp's on the market.

  • Big, crystal, clear sound from a compact unit!

This Kenwood Amplifier packs a pretty big punch for a compact unit! The compact size makes it easy to find an out of sight mounting location behind the dash in my classic car and I have the remote control stored in the glove box for a clean non visible mount. Using this Amp as a stand alone unit, it is pushing sound through 4 - 6X9 speakers and it's crystal clear sound with plenty of volume. This Kenwood Bluetooth Amplifier is a lot of bang for your buck!

  • This Thing ROCKS!

I love this on my Vulcan classic and it really pumps load over my Cobra pipes. I love the size of the amp as it fits behind my saddle bags very easily. The remote is easy to use and mount on the handle bars and the bluetooth works stellar on this product. i would give it a 5 only if it was not so pricey. I believe a price $99-$119 would be nice since this product does not come with speakers. My other units I've used can rock just as loud but come with the amp and the speakers for about my suggested price. Still a great product and Kenwood holds true to it's name brand. Thanks

  • Great Little Bluetooth Amp!

Just installed this thing in my 74 Jeep CJ5. Was able to stick it up under the dash, resting on top of the glovebox. Ran a fused 10 gauge wire from the battery to the yellow wire, cutting off most of the yellow wire except maybe 8 inches. Blue wire to the radio wire coming off the under-dash fuse box. Black wire cut down as short as possible to connect to a good ground nearby. Soldered and heat shrinked all connections. I'm only using 2 channels currently, connected to a pair of Kenwood 6.5" marine speakers, but they sound great! Once I finish putting some other parts back together, I'm looking forward to taking it out and enjoying many hours of bluetoothing. Speaking of which, paring with it was simple. My only complaint with the amp is the lack of ability to adjust bass or other levels. The only adjustment seems to be the fade between front and rear channels. I suppose you might be able to to adjust those on the phone side instead if you have an app for that. The water resistant remote is a great feature, allowing me to hose the Jeep inside and out after an outing without worry.

  • Kenwood kac m1824BT

I paired this amp with kicker speakers to add on to my motorcycle. The first trial run just a few miles everything worked fine. I could hear the speakers over the loud pipes and wind. At about 75 mph or so depending on the song using line in with mp3. The remote control for amp does not work with line in operation. The next time I rode I used Bluetooth operation. Remote worked great and got more volume from the speakers. And not turned to Max volume I could hear music well at 70 mph. However about 45 minutes into the ride my speakers started to sound like the drum solo from in-a-gadda-da-vida. I do not have that song in my playlist..not sure why. Could be amp or speakers..or Bluetooth connection.. don't know..but I turned the volume down and music started playing again. I tried another song and then turned it up....thump thump pop thump pop pop..turn it down and music again..so not sure what the problem is.. sound quality is mediocre at best at high volume and 75 mph..before the drum solo thing...the rest of the ride I was never able to play at higher volume again.. maybe amp just gets too hot to function properly.. Kenwood said the thing get hot. And it do.. so I mounted it at top of saddlebag so it could get a breeze and maybe not get as hot.. I don't know what might be causing the "disturbance" ... A traveling wilbury no doubt..

  • Great price for a great little amp!!

This is a great product. It is super small and compact. You can hide it pretty much anywhere out of sight. I used it in my Cobra where I didn't want to cut into the dash. I stuck it in the corner of the trunk, ran the wire for the controller up next to the drivers seat and use my phone to connect through Bluetooth. Works great and has plenty of power!

  • I would recommend.

I bought this for my boat and I planned on powering two 8inch 2way Kenwood speakers. It's so loud with just one of them that I haven't installed the other yet. It connects to my phone with no problem and I really enjoy being able to put my phone into the dry box and just using the controller. I'll probably put one of these in my garage just for the Bluetooth capability.

  • Awesome amp

Has enough power to make any speakers sound better. Has enough juice to push a whole sound system. Installed in a 1994 Harley Road King in the left sattle bag. Cut out the whole in the lid to mount the control. Start small and use a file to cut it to size to ensure a tight fit. Hope this helps someone out.
