    great movie

    My husband, adult son and I really enjoyed this movie..especially since it was based on a true story...the movie was based in the '50's when the Russians had launched Sputnik, the first satellite to orbit the earth...a young boy from a mining town in West Virginia had a dream to launch rockets where almost no youth had a chance of doing anything but mining.....my sons launched Estes rockets when they were young so the movie was especially appealing...good clean entertainment...

    OCTOBER SKY

    Loved it because I could watch it with the entire family.I highly recommend! NO sex scenes, NO vulgar language, just a good down to earth exciting movie. Much of it is very much like the days that it represented. When is Hollywood ever going to get that THIS is the type of movies that America really wants to watch. Just look at the high ticket sales on "kids" animation movies or movies without extreme violence, sex or bad language. D-U-H!
