  • Overall Great Receiver

Overall the receiver is very good build quality. Sadly, it has very low volume even with the knob turned all the way up, so am diagnosing the problem with the components that might be bad. The loudness switch is not engaging a fuller sound, but it may be tied to the lower 20W per channel quad mode keeping the sound muted. All the lights work, and all the functions other than the volume and loudness. High and low filters do work. Most receivers this old need complete over halls, and can be very expensive, but great for the amateur repair people. Overall, these were excellent receivers of their day, and quadraphonic like (dolby Atmos receivers of today) sound provided a warmth that only analog technology can provide, over digital formats of the present.
