    Watery — Smells and Looks Like Desitin Diaper Rash Ointment But It Does The Job

    I received my Avene Cicalfate Repair Cream yesterday. When I removed the seal from the tube, a watery substance spilled from the tube. I tried to shake it and knead it, but water continued to come out of the tube. I finally did get some white, watery cream from the tube. There is not much cream in the tube, and what is in there looks and smells exactly like Desitin Diaper Rash Ointment. I don’t know if the liquid and the cream separated in transit, or if it is old (doesn’t expire until 8/20), or if this is not the real thing. Spring water is listed as the 1st ingredient, so maybe it just separated. I have never purchased it before, so I don’t know. I have read other reviews on the Internet from people who have had the same issue. 4/18 - I wanted to update my review. After a week ...

    Avene Cicalfate Restorative Cream but this is PURE WATER!!! Don't waste your money!!

    This is a phony product!! It's pure water and not the cream it's meant to be. I love this product and have been using it for years!!! Please don't support someone that isn't selling you the official product!!! The first picture shows the original and the cream coming out. The second picture I had to put on a cutting board so you could see the water. The 3rd picture shows the original tube. The 4th picture shows the phony tube this crook is selling!!!

    Avene Cicalfate Soothes & Heals

    A highly recommended item if you have issues with your skin, it calms, soothes and keeps your skin hydrated as well. I read about it and it's uses and decided to give it a try, I'm so glad I did, I still use it when needed. I really like the Avene line, their products. "A technologically advanced skin restorative cream clinically proven to help speed the recovery process by maintaining an optimal healing environment for the skin."
