This makes a great bench top replacement meter. Accuracy, feature set, and build are top notch. Whereas ScopeMeters are meant to be portable oscilloscopes first and DMMs second, this is really the only serious meter to be a DMM first yet still offer basic scope functionality. There is more than enough bandwidth for audio repair work. It has a few tricks up its sleeve, too, like the graphical device test feature. On the downside, it's HUGE at nearly 10 inches tall by 5 1/2 inches wide. Definitely not the most portable. The display update rate is also low, spec'd at 4 updates per second, but in reality more like 2 per second. Price is also quite high, but you're paying for the Fluke reputation and build quality. In this regard, it doesn't disappoint. If you're looking for a budget meter, this ain't it. I've decided to use it on my bench top rather than a traditional bench multiimeter. It has more features and with the A/C adapter and serial cable you can do data logging all day. It's also got one of the coolest displays of any meter, sure to impress your friends and co-workers! This highly precise and capable DMM is a real gem. In addition to 0.025% DC accuracy, it offers extensive logging and display functions that can stand in as an scope on many AC measurements. Runs on NiCd, AA’s or AC. Big backlit screen is easy to see from a distance . Love it!

This unit is in perfect shape and is a great meter. It maybe older now but if you find a good one it will last for years to come. Very nice if not abused or worn out lol. Battery packs are cheap enough. Just after a certain price you’re better off getting a newer version. I paid 381 and is in like new condition. 73
