I am a fan of the show & have been since it debuted in the 1980's. As we fans know, with the storyline at the end of season 3 bringing Maddie & David together it brought about the end of the show. We start out with Maddie NOT liking the situation & bailing without telling anyone to stay with her parent in Chicago. Which made the David character NOT caring about anything else & this was all he could think about. The pregnancy story then Maddie getting married to Walter (Dennis Dugan) after meeting him on a train. The last line this character says was perfect after he & Maddie ended the quickie marriage. There were some good ideas in episodes which was normal for the show BUT it was these story lines that just brought the show down. A LOT of time on the Agnes & Burt (Hubert) to get through an episode. Then the Burt fighting with fellow employee MacGillicudy. Done too much. David crashing Maddie's car in the parking garage. The garage Burt & MacGillicudy duel. MY favorite bit. Disc 2 episode "Cool Hand Dave Part 2". The bad guy who got David thrown in prison goes to stay at David's apartment. Agnes & Burt go to find David but find this guy claiming to be David's cousin. He tells them a story & they play Indiana Jones music. Love that hearing the music. No extras other than commentary on SOME episodes. And, a SHORT season. So, we all know why this original show did not last more than 5 seasons. Not enough episodes & the bad storylines.Read full review
This is the season that everyone who followed the show talks about; the burning question of whether or not Dave (Bruce Willis)and Mattie (Cybill Shepherd) would finally get together. Season four sizzles with the answer to that question, and further develops the characters of the two stars. Mark Harmon is a great guest star that plays a prominent role on several episodes. As always, there is the unique banter and dialogue that separates Moonlighting from the rest of the pack. Interaction with the viewing audience is another unique sidelight that makes Moonlighting so different from the run of the mill presentation that 99% of the other TV shows share. Moonlighting truly stands as one of TV's all-time classics and Season Four stands out as perhaps Moonlightings best.
I was a huge fan of Moonlighting when it was first appearing on TV. It was the only TV show I watched (religiously) and yes, I was one of the many fans saddened and outraged by the constant delays and re-runs. I recently re-watched Seasons 1 - 3 and was reminded of just why I loved the show so much. The chemistry between Maddie Hayes and David Addison was magic, dark magic at times, but magic just the same. And yes, Atomic Shakespeare is probably the greatest episode of television ever produced. But, trying to watch Season 4 reminded me of why I, like so many others, lost interest in the show. The scripts are flat, the acting uninspired, the plots boring, and - worst of all - there is NO Dave and Maddie! Instead, we get Agnes and Burt (ick) and the most disappointing season of TV ever produced. (Watching Burt Viola serenade Ms. Dipesto was PAINFUL!) So, skip this season. Its awful. I've not yet made the leap to Season 5, but from what I understand the Dave and Maddie interaction is back and it is supposedly better than Season 4. At any rate, we will always haves Seasons 1 - 3; the best television ever produced.Read full review

My 34 yr son & I use to watch this when he was young. That is how clean it was NOT like some now days. If you liked the TV show you will love this. Action, murder, keeps guessing what will happen, etc. If you’re this type than watch. I rather watch the old TV movies than todays. That is why I buy them. Now days cussing, nude... where have we gone? NOT family minded... lust minded yes! You have to decide what you want. Brenda … Austin, TX
I love the back and forth quick wit and genuine love between the actors. I only watch one episode a day in the evenings and it is the reason I can get thru the day!
