An excellent collector's piece for Civil War buffs
This lavishly illustrated Civil War history of pre-Gettysburg events is the companion to the 2003 movie. The book includes nearly 70 color paintings. The dramatic text and pictures bring to life this crucial time as the Confederacy dominated the battlefields with their skillful speed and flexibility. Considered one of America’s greatest historical artists, Mort Künstler has become well known for the extraordinary authenticity and drama of his work. Greta book,vg reading and thepics are excellent, If you are a civil war buff or just want to review the war these are great pics and reading about the war,makes you feel what they went thru .

An outstanding companion to the movie. Illustrations and text are top notch. 150th Anniversary of Civil War got me interested in learning more about how/why 600,000 to 800,000 of our brothers and sisters died.
