It's well built even though some parts are plastic. Once you get it set up and going, it really cranks out the shells. The primer feed is a problem. If it fails to feed a primer, it's an instant powder spill. Which has happened to me several times. The primer feed needs to go back to the drawing board. Otherwise, I really like this press. It costs half as much as the high end PWs and Hornadys.

It's definitely a workhorse and bar a few tweaks here and there, it's been extremely fun using the machine. It's not without its quirks but most of that I attribute to user learning. Overall, I'd definitely recommend getting one... and starting slow. Read the instructions thoroughly.

MEC 9000GN is a progressive reloader that can easily churn out 300 rounds an hour. The primer feed is reliable, mounting the reloader to a solid heavy table with zero vibration will give you the best consistency. Lots of different parts are available. The reloader can also be easily cleaned.

The large capacity primer feed tray is an excellent addition. If you stick to a regimented process for loading and pay attention to each shell you load, there will never be spilled powder when a primer doesn't drop. Each time you lower the arm you must visually see a primer drop AND visually see the charge bar center screw travel the full distance to the end of the slot before raising the handle back up. This is a must for every shell you ever load. Stick to this process and you'll never have a powder spill nor will you ever have a shell with a light powder charge.
