Cuto's knives and chef tools are among (if not) the best available especially when you factor in the "forever guarantee". This knife is superior to any other I've found with the exception of my vintage #25 Chef knife (1950's with the rosewood handle). The older one handles better and the blade on that one has a sharper/slimmer blade. This newer/smaller one is great, don't get me wrong...it dices, slices and chops like a pro. The Cutco handle is great in that your hand has a natural grip and this grip gives more comfort during long sessions at the chopping block. The shorter blade will be loved by most - I just prefer my older e-Bay purchase of the full size chef knife.

I love that the petit chef’s knife fits in my hand so much better than the regular size. And I love that it is thoughtfully made and comfortable. But the best thing about it is that the shape of the handle makes it safe to hold even when it is wet. Most knives become seriously dangerous of you have to use them for a moment with a wet hand or wet handle. But the design of the handle on this knife makes it just as stable in your hand as when both are dry. I love Cutco knives, I wish I could afford more.

I have been using Cutco knives since the 1970s and the ones I bought then are still as good as new. They do not tire my hands when used for long periods of time due to the handle shape and perfect balance. The handles don't show any wear and the only sign of age is they are not quite as shiny as they were originally. The edges stay sharp for years. When they dull, I send them back to the company, they sharpen them and return them. As often as needed without charge. Forever. The warranty is good for as long as you own the cutlery. I have at least 20 pieces and will only part with them when I no longer am allowed to touch sharp objects. I recommend Cutco to anyone interested in long term use knives and other kitchen utensils.

In my opinion, Cutco makes the best knives in the world, and this petite chef's knife is no exception. The razor-sharp blade and comfortable handle combine for world-class cutting precision and an overall more enjoyable cooking experience! Cannot recommend this knife, and the Cutco brand, enough!

I have most of the knives that Cutco offers, but this petite chef's knife is a must have for your kitchen. All of Cutco knives are razor sharp, and take a while to dull. If they do, then you can send them back to the factory for sharpening for life! These are the kinds of knives that you hand down through the generations. Highly recommend.
