    Yngwie Malmsteen - Facing The Animal

    Following the trend of 'The Seventh Sign' and 'Magnum Opus' the Swedish guitar hero Yngwie Malsteen offers and output of predominantly strong songs with fresh sound and his distinct classical-influenced guitar solos. This is the only album featuring Mats Levén on voice ( Who later came to song for At Vance and Therion, among others ) whose raw singing style resembles more his predecessor Mike Vescerra than th 80s-styled singers Malmsteen had until the early 90s. Songs such as the ppener 'Braveheart', ' My resurrection' or 'Only the Strong' are catchy and heavy tunes to be loved by any heavy metal fan. A couple of ballads could never be missing: 'Like An Angel' (dedicated to his wife) and 'Alone in Paradise'. The album has no filler and could be considered among the Top 5 in Malmsteen's ...
