So, The mirror dash cam. It is what it is, and certainly has some good points which i will get to first 1: Its quite a wide unit so when you attach it to the mirror expect quite a bit more visibility. 2: Plug and play unit - plug it in (i recommend getting the hard wire kit so you can leave your cigarette lighter spare) and just start it when you set off (if you have ignition power it comes on straight away and auto records if not you have to turn it on and it auto records) 3: Loop feature so you don't have to worry about running out of memory. 4: Wi fi built in - and with the app its easy to sort out also, you connect to it and not the other way around so that's nice. 5: UI - the user interface is pretty straight forward and easy to get through so thumbs up for that. Bad points - 1: now and again it freezes not helpful when you are counting on it to record in the event of a crash, might be solved with a firmware update but not had chance to do it. 2: the speed on the GPS is a little slow to update not the end of the world but could show you speeding when in fact you have already slowed to the right speed. 3: the suckers - suck - 100% advised to use the straps and not rely on the suckers the unit is to big and they are to flimsy to keep it in place all in all an ok unit that helps reduce the clutter in the windscreen - hopefully the firmware update will sort the freeze and the speed issue.Read full review

downside no owners book included must be downloaded, #but more annoying the power cable has a connector for plugging into a cigar lighter, my Mazda like all modern card does not have a cigarette lighter socket, only an USB socket, no mention is made of this type of connector in the instructions, and no fitting is supplied

I have had this dash cam in my car for two weeks now, it’s simply brilliant, I have already caught some terrible and inconsiderate driving by other motorists, simple to use and download the footage to my iPhone via WiFi, also the lock file is very handy when you want to keep footage you just recorded, buy this dash cam by next base you will love it , too many features on it to mention but I don’t think you will find a better one, buy this dash cam you won’t be disappointed.

I had some problems on the beginning. Bought it for my partner. I also bought a memory card separate (at the local shop) 95 speed and it wasn't working. I wasn't sure if it's camera's fault or card but it was not working. I've changed the card for another one (also 95 speed) and now it's great. Easy to use. My partner totally loves it

I purchased this model as I already own a 312GW and think they are the best on the market. I bought the 512 as it has the added advantages of being able to add a rear camera. The images are crystal clear and give all the info you will ever require, such as position, speed, time etc. Night vision is excellent as well. Highly recommended.
