A New Kind Of Evil
The transfer of this film is solid. The video and sound Q are superb. From the artwork, set design, special effects, costumes, storyline, and talent, I've always enjoyed this film immensely as it's very out of the ordinary and original. It is gorgeous on Blu-Ray. Thandie Newton heats it up a notch as the power hungry domineering wife in charge kinda girl - hot indeed. Judi Dench is always fantastic and manages to steal the show in every scene. How does she do that? Too bad there isn't a follow up to this one. This seems to be the best in the series. I guess you may as well quit when you're at the top.The transfer of this film is solid. Chronicles of Riddick
Although the critics were less than enthused and the movie didn't do particularly well in the theaters, it's one of my favorite action/adventure movies of all time. When I first saw Chronicles of Riddick, I thought it was a stand-alone-movie as I didn't know it was a sequel. Still, I enjoyed it very much. After seeing the first movie, Pitch Black (excellent also, in my opinion), I do wish that I had watched the movies in their proper sequence. But the order in which I'd watched in no way detracted from my enjoyment of the movies.
