One of the best games in its time
To cobweb9999greg, the game is fully functional on ANY Windows OS. Seeing as how it is a DOS based game, Windows 95 or 98 will run this just fine. If you have Windows 2000 or later, you will need to configure the game a bit to get it to run, but it is still fully playable. Other programs such as DosBox or VDMSound will make this game function like it should. If additional information is needed, please don't hesitate to contact me. As far as the game itself goes, it has never once lost my interest. To this day every time I play it I get chills. How many people can say that about a game that's 10 years old?? With the game having a horror theme and creepy music to go along with it, it adds that much more to the games intensity. With stages that range from a moving train, a ... There are plenty of "chapters" in the game with numerous stages that must be completed before reaching the final boss. Beware though, the game isn't easy as there are highly dangerous traps set that will kill you instantly if you're not careful. I highly recommend this game, it's a purchase you won't regret!

This was one of the best FPS games of its time. I would put it on par with DukeNukem3D, yes it's that good. The game starts with the main character Chaleb crawling out of his grave saying "I live again". This game is oozing with atmosphere and creeped me the hack out (back in the day). In this FPS you're able to use powerup items that allow duel wielding of your currently held weapon (even DukeNukem3d didn't have that). Another thing that set this game apart was the alternate fire mode. Every weapon could be fired in 2 different ways (the alternate mode is more powerful but uses more ammo)... this is pretty cool. Conclusion: DukeNukem3d Atomic and Blood are both awesome games from the late 90s. Blood2 was not as good as the original.This was one of the best FPS games of its time. An all time classic, a first-person shooter in the Doom style. This is the original that established the zombie-hunter genre. Macabre, stylish, grizzly with a dark sense of humor. Built on the 3D Realms Build engine this game piles on fast paced action with hordes of enemies on each level, and gratuitous graphic violence. One of the first implementations of dual or alternate attack modes for most weapons. There are classic traps, jumping puzzles, combo door locks, weird weapons, power-ups, switches, and super secrets to discover. But it never bogs down. This game is visceral and a guilty pleasure as you blow off zombie heads and kick them through the graveyard.
