    TDK model D cassettes normal bias

    The TDK model D audio cassette was always a good all around performing cassette. They're normal bias cassettes which although are not considered to be as good for music as high bias cassettes IMO perform very well. They're a good reliable choice for quality .I've never had any go bad or malfunction on me yet. The only negative that comes to mind s that the shells are now welded shut instead of using screws. This would be a major headache if the cassettes malfunctioned or a tape deck eats them. There would be no way to open the shell without breaking it open rendering the shell unusable after making a repair, such as a splice. You would have to sacrifice another shell with screws to get that tape usable again. A screwed shell would be better, but, I haven't needed to repair any yet, as I ...
