    Great early DVD release

    This was one of the very first DVDs I ever bought- the original copy developed 'laser rot' after more than ten years however and stopped playing. Though this movie has been reissued in a better edition since then, I had to replace this one since I'm an obsessive collector and found a still-sealed copy here that hasn't rotted (the bad one was made by Panasonic, this one was made by Warner, and upon looking at the front of the discs the old one had a circled "P" on the edge while this one had a "W".) The transfer still holds up but isn't quite perfect, so buy the Blu-Ray unless you have to have this edition- the cover picture is much better than the reissues. When I first watched this on my then-new DVD player, I was amazed at how they could fit a 2 1/2 hour movie on a single disc; on ...

    Good Movie.

    Great movie, script and A list actors! It's a fun movie, quite explicit but it is meant to be that way. It's meant to step on your toes, cross boundaries and make you feel uncomfortable. The last half hour makes you feel like you've lost the buzz that kept you feeling good for the first hour and a half. But all in all I just loved the film. The soundtrack is great, too!     Boogie Nights Delight

    1st I saw this film was almost 2 decades ago on cable tv. In recent years. Last year I saw it again after not seeing it in a long time. More and more I enjoy it. It's become one of my all-time favorites. Thanks.
