About this product

Product Information

Ron Guth

The 1912-S Half Dollar has a split-personality. It is scarce as far as Barber Halves go, but it also happens to be the most common S-Mint in Gem condition. A small number of MS66 examples seem to be sufficient to satisfy collector demand. MS67 examples are rare, with none certified by PCGS. This date boasts a strong strike and nice luster. Occasionally, a coin will be described in auction descriptions as "Prooflike", but these are rare exceptions.

David Akers
Although often available in the lower Uncirculated grades, in Gem condition the 1912-S is both rare and somewhat underrated. It is not quite as rare as the 1911-S, but it is more rare in Gem than the 1909-S, 1910-S and the S Mint issues from 1913 to 1915.

    Barber half dollrs

Wanted this date for a while. My present Barber coin book had a low quality coin. This one replaced it perfectly. Barbers are not coming cheap. Due to their popularity. I am lucky that my book is complete.

  • Barber $.50 type coin

The coin was exactly as advertised and reasonably priced for a good type coin. A good coin for anyone looking to complete a set of 20th century collections.

  • ALL OLD COINS ARE HISTORICALLY BEAUTIFUL.

TO TELL YOU THE TRUTH I LIKE ALL "OLD" COINS.THEY SHOW ME HISTORY, INTEIIIGENTS, WISDOM,& TO PUT IT ALL ON SILVER IS INCRETABLE. THERE ISN'T ANYTHING I DON'T LIKE ABOUT ANY OF THE OLD COINS.WHAT I LIKE MOST ABOUT THE OLD COINS IS THE BEAUTIFUL DESIGNS ON THE COINS. THE ARTISTS HAVE DONE A SPLENDED JOB. SOME OF THE REASONS I BUY DIFFERENT COINS IS TO SHOW THE KIDS IN SOME THING THEY HAVEN'T SEEN OR HEARD OF BEFORE. THE MOST BEAUTIFUL OF ALL COINS IS THE KENNEDY HALF DOLLAR.

  • 1912 S US Silver Barber Half Dollar was great to add to my collection.

Fast service and a bargain price to add to my collection.
