About this product

Product Information

Players take part in two separate epic journeys and attempt to reunite four races in the hopes of beating back the relentless march of evil in Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga. Long ago, chaos swept over the lands of Eldar, and only an alliance of humans, dwarves, halflings, and elves prevented the world from falling under the rule of the evil Spirit King. But over centuries the racial cohesion eroded, and as a new wave of monsters begins to overrun the land, it's up to gamers to step into this void and meet the challenge. Players begin by customizing a character in seven different categories, choosing face, hair, and voice attributes, and then selecting from five preliminary job classes. Battles occur in real-time on the main field map, and gamers can see potential enemies, therefore giving them the option of fighting from afar, moving in for a sneak attack, or avoiding confrontation altogether.<br><br>Towns offer players a chance to purchase weapons and equipment, and taverns house a variety of mercenaries who can be paid to join the party during missions. Characters level up through battles, earning skill points that can be assigned to either passive or active skills, and combat slowly fills up the player's "Burst Gauge." Shaking the Wii Remote with a full Burst Gauge results in devastating special attacks that vary depending on the character's job class and weapons. Though the second of Eldar Saga's two chapters takes place in a time period after the first chapter, gamers have the option of beginning their own saga in either episode. And those looking for multiplayer action can head online to team-up with a friend for co-op adventures and special two-player quests.

  • Aquired taste

This game sucks in so many ways it can turn many away quickly. However there are a lot of good points that patient gamers will come to enjoy. This game has crummy graphics not because the developers suck, but rather because the washed out look is to convey a world with no hope. Thats why there is so much gray. The characters are fun. Swords suck in my opinion. I use dual axes (fun). The first chapter ends with you marrying a girl of your choice and depending o who you marry chapter 2 you will emerge as the son or daughter of the chapter one union. I like this game. The worlds are seemless and thats always good. Lots of little quests to keep you busy. Its an aquired taste. Some people think its horrible game and others think its really good! I give it a 7/10 overall. If your a impatient ...

  • Excellent true RPG game reminiscent of older classics.

Excellent true RPG game. Great graphics, great plot, lots of puzzles, hidden stuff, skills, equipment, customizing of characters, good use of Wii controller, etc. Also has 2 different "scripts". Bought this game for my husband. He's been playing RPG games since w/ve been married(30 yrs). "Best rpg game I've found in years." He should know-he has/played Zelda,Breath of Fire series,Landstalker,Shining Force,Shining in the Darkness,Secret of Evermore,Illusion of Gaia,Lufia,Final Fantasy series,Beyond Oasis,ETC-you get the picture.

  • Great Game

First off, this game has pretty good graphics. Better than I had expected. Second, the story line is pretty cool because there are so many different lands and the quests are challenging but fun. You can decide what job you want: Fighter, Thief, Mage, Priest, and Bard, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. You can also hire mercenaries to help you on your quests. My favorite of the game though is the battles. You have to be quick-witted and never lose your focus. The only part I don't like is that there are a lot of controls to remember. The other cool feature in this game is that it is Wi-Fi connectible. Now with an internet connection, you can hook up with a friend and explore the lands of Eldar together.

  • Valhalla Knight good RPG for WII

For those who like RPG style games ( Think AD&D from the 1980's ) this is a great game. The combat control is a bit slow but thats not really a big deal when you get the hang of it. This game is not for those who get easily frustrated or that hate drawn out searches. This game plays out as a true RPG.

  • Its sweet

Valhalla Knights is a game like no other i've ever played. fisrt of all i love the fact you can level up when ever you want. There are about an endless amount of items to equipt, and you can have a merc to help you fight. the story is really nice, The Wi-fi is the coolest idea ever you can play co-op campaign with your friends. The things I dont like is how Ive never heard any of the names they use, but i work around that easily. its a game you can get cheap and worth it.
