Great holster
I have had a few of these holsters, I like the design better than the Serpa holsters I had in the past. I use a SLS holster on duty, the ALS uses the same retention (level I) as my duty holster. I usually carry IWB while off duty, but when plainclothes or working at the gun store (where I want people to see I am armed) you need a holster with active retention. Open carry without a retention device is just asking for someone to take it away (like the Brit teen tried to take a gun from a police officer to assasinate Trump in Vegas); either keep it out of sight, or make sure it can't be taken from you. The Safariland ALS series of holsters are tough, and while not as eye appealing as a leather holster, is a great choice for open carry and ease of draw. Remember to train with whatever type of ...
