ALA is good for reducing diabetic related foot pain, muscle aches and reducing H1Ac levels.
ALA is a treatment for reducing diabetic related foot pain. It also works for other foot pain. Both of my feet had minor healed bone fractures which was enough to cause me to have swelling and foot pain on the insteps. Within a week of taking 600 mg ALA the pain was significantly reduced and my feet were less swollen. I also started taking ALA 600 mg and ALCAR (Alpha L-Carnitine) 1000 mg together WITH FOOD every day since there are studies that show that ALA 600 mg/day can reduce H1Ac levels. I have a severe case of Metabolic Syndrome which makes me very insulin resistant. I did slowly increase my intake of ALA and ALCAR to 1800 mg and 3000 mg respectively which are the maximum levels allowed while under the care of a doctor over the course of a year. My H1Ac level which was 7 is now 5.4 ... ALA is a treatment for reducing diabetic related foot pain. It also works for other foot pain. It looks like I will be able to take a lower dose of Metformin now which is something I am looking forward to as long as I continue taking ALA daily. ALA combined with ALCAR has been helping my sister recover from emergency major abdominal surgery to treat sepsis which nearly killed her. The ALA helps with my sister's considerable aches and pains and the ALCAR reduces brain fog and low energy.
