Great head unit - but do your research.
If you are one who loves to take the factory car stereo and toss it out the window, this is a good piece of hardware for you. If you wouldn't know how to begin to install it then I highly suggest you do your research first, because this is one multi-function, high speed, alllll-the-bells-and-whistles piece of equipment. The unit itself can be very involved to install depending on what kind of car / truck you're putting into, but once installed correctly this is a top notch unit that can read and write CD's, DVD's, iPods and iPhones, can do the Blue Tooth sync with all kinds of phones including the various Droid's out there, can read USB thumb drives, can import your phone book right out of your Droid, makes and receives phone calls... the only thing this darn unit seems to not do is cook ... Set up and use is very easy and mostly intuitive. I did have to pull out the manual for blue tooth sync up the first time but after that it was painless and easy. It's read every disk I've put into it and done it's job with aplomb. I used a SWI-JACK to make my steering wheel controls work with this unit and had to install a bose interface, but those were problems specific to my vehicle and the Clarion worked with the adapters and my vehicle's equipment painlessly the first time without any problems. The touch screen is big, bright, easy to navigate, and easy to use. If I had a complaint it would be a lack of ability to change screen colors, but that's pretty minor - all in all this thing is easy to easy, easy to use, and works amazingly well and reliably. A word of caution - not related to this head unit but important to know is that you WILL need an install kit, at least one wiring harness, and in some cases an antenna adapter. KNOW YOUR VEHICLE! I paid more for the hardware necessary to install this stereo than I did for the stereo itself - but it's worth it, this has proven to be an exceptional value for the features.

Plenty features for a diminutive price tag.
Great unit. Plenty of features. Load time is a bit long. Have had no problems with it. I wish some of the audio settings were available while music is playing to make it easier to fine-tune. Maybe the newer versions have improved this area.

Worth the money. I would buy another one.
Not the best deck or interface out there, but well worth the money. I purchased a refurbished model and it likes to shut off about once a week or so for some reason. It turns itself right back on, but deletes my settings. No biggy but annoying. Overall Im happy with the deck.
