My cat, Minky, is a biter. The last tme he bit me, it got infected...i was upset enough to consider re-homing him, but instead, when the Vet wanted to put him on kitty Prozac, i asked if there was a natural alternative. She recommended Rescue Remedy. I was skeptical till i read the ingredients. Flowers! 4 or 5 different flowers...what could be bad!! Minky actually looks forward to it and it mellows him out when he gets rambunctious.

I ordered this because one of my cats believes he is the sole guardian of the house and goes ballistic when a stray cat appears in the backyard and looks in the door right at him! Then, because he can't get at the stray, he begins attacking the next closest animal, my female cat, who loves him to death and cannot understand why he is turning on her. I've had this product recommended to me before, so now was the time to order and try it. Other than basic directions on the bottle, it was trial and error to get it into the problem cat and then wait for it to kick in and calm him down. I had no idea how long this would take. The answer to that question was 5-7 days. My cat weighs 15 pounds and I did grow impatient at one point, about 3 days in, and just gave him the 4 drops right into his mouth. It did not hurry up the process by doing that. He does drink out of the water bowl I put out with the drops in it, and he's the only one of the 3 that drinks there, so eventually he got enough Rescue Remedy in him to calm down. Now he gets up and watches the birds in the yard- quietly, with no fussing. I have not seen the stray cat for about 3 days now, but I hope the calming effect lasts. I was also hoping that this would work for his jealous aggression towards my oldest female cat (age 19 1/2), who stays mostly in the bedroom but was also getting attacked if she came out of the room to see me. So far, that problem also seems to be resolved too, so I'm quite happy! Read full review

We use this for one of our cats that loves to self-sooth when he groomes himself. He pulls his fur out in patches. This product calms him enough that he hardly exhibits this odd behavior anymore. He gets a couple of drops 3-4 times a day with his wet-food feedings. He is much better with the use of it.

I’ve used Bach products in the past. They’ve always worked well for me. I love that they are natural products, simple to use and gentle on human and animal bodies. This particular product is great quality and without alcohol. I bought this to calm a terrified/anxious cat who has been hiding for a month. I’ve added 4 drops to their water bowl over the last several days and this little one has come out of hiding. This product can be added to food or directly into a pet’s mouth as well. We will continue with the Bach Pet Rescue Remedy until he gets his mojo going. I do believe this to be a worthwhile addition for frightened pets.

Rescue Remedy is an amazing product that has proven to be a life saver for both my Lola and I. Lola, is a 15 pound Shih Tzu who has severe reactions to storms that have been hard on her and really stressful for me to deal with. Literally within 15 minutes she calms down after being given a dosage that I rub around the rim of her ear. She totally mellows out, and the treatment lasts about 3 hours. It can be reapplied. Lola has never suffered from the treatment. My only regret is that it took me this long to learn of this great product. I share Rescue Remedy with all my dog lovers. By the way, most Vets are familiar with Rescue Remedy and use it, but don't sell it !
