    I would say it was as described, but it was actually even better than expected, really lovely item and came very well-packed for shipping. Lots of care taken in the handling for shipping. Price for both item and shipping cost were more than fair. I have a recipe book that came out two years after this one by the same publisher. My grandmother used it as a regular go-to cookbook her whole life & then it came to me & I still use it too. Very excited to now have this companion volume to go with it!

    Excellent Purchase

    Season 2 of ROME is frequently found in a repackaged, small plastic case. The purchase I made through eBAY was in the original, large case and was half the cost of the small-case version being sold by Amazon - a bargain to be sure. ROME is not for the faint of heart, but it is one of the greatest dramatic series ever made for TV. The quality of these DVDs and the additional features make them quite a good purchase.

    Rome (season 2)

    Its a continuation and final season of Rome (only 2 seasons). It's great! I think season 1 was better but season 2 has many great scenes. If you liked season 1 then finish the series with season 2.

    GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN

    This was one of the very best Series to has ever been on television. I think HBO originally planned to do a longer, more extended version of this Series but did not get the response it was expecting and consequently cut the Series short. The problem with stopping a series like this in mid-production is that you cannot pick it up again. There were at least two dozen principal characters none of whom could be replaced so it was either continue or stop. I am very familiar with the story and the time period, but I will watch this many times.
