Building on the Wii-only original, the high-def debut of EA Sports' Grand Slam Tennis serves up refined controls and expanded content. In the roles of past and present superstars, players seek to capture a true Grand Slam, winning the Australian Open, French Open, U.S. Open, and Wimbledon -- a venue exclusive to the 2012 tennis game. PlayStation 3 gamers can use the gamepad, or play with optional Move motion controls. Gamers play as their choice of more than 20 famous pro athletes, including retired WTA and ATP legends and contemporary stars of the sport.<br><br>The roster includes Federer, Nadal, Sharapova, and the Williams sisters, as well as Becker, Borg, Davenport, and Evert, in addition to featured cover athlete, John McEnroe. Artificial intelligence is programmed with distinct strategies, tactics, and playing styles for the different star athletes. They are designed to move, swing, and emote like their real-life counterparts, in action as well as in their animations. The game's career mode spans up to a virtual decade. Players can also compete in pick-up singles and doubles matches, or take on 25 unlockable "ESPN Tournament Classics," to replay historic moments and memorable situations.

    control need more improvement

    gameplay 7/10 graphics 8/10 control need more improvement Grand Slam Tennis 2 is a collection of great ideas, but the focus feels a little too stretched and each individual feature is missing the hook it needs to keep the attention on it. EA's newest tennis title drops the cartoony graphics and arcade-style gameplay of its predecessor, a Nintendo Wii exclusive, for a more realistic, simluation-meets-arcade hybrid of the franchise. Grand Slam Tennis 2 features a brand new control scheme, dubbed Total Racquet Control, a collection of game modes and a roster featuring the biggest names in the sport. Unfortunately, these features are spread too thin to keep tennis lovers entertained.

    I like it and I would recommend it.

    love this game... it is a little hard to understand at first but once you learn how to handle it you'll enjoy it. kinda wish it had better graphics and movements from the players but nothing is perfect. i have to admit that sometimes i feel like I'm watching the real players playing online.

    Great

    It's a pretty good title. You will have to play it first hand to get the full feel of it though. You just can't give a straight review of it. But it's a good title.
