This sale was not a big deal. I sent her the book, and my price was fair, nothing to get too excited about. Thank you for your business.

  • A riveting story!

I've been following the series for awhile and it is only getting better. This is book is actually the first part of a much longer work, the 2nd of which is due to be released in November, 2016. The characters are well developed, the plot very well thought out, especially the battle scenes. Having been a former Air Defense (TCO) Tactical Control Officer qualified soldier at a Hawk Battalion in Germany during the Cold war, and later serving in a Patriot Missile Battery in the First Gulf War I found the tactics, weapons and scenarios to be very accurate and plausible. I especially like the focus on the Treecats as they are proven to be a sentient race who decide to ally themselves with the Star Kingdom (Empire) of Manticore against the Mesan Alignment. Besides our heroine, Honor ...

  • Lots of Plotting; much less action

The great space battle between the Solarian Navy and Manticore is but a small and rather insignificant part of the book. The real action lays in setting up the Solarian Empire for its inevitable collapse in books down the line for when Manticore-Haven encounters Mesa' space fleet. Lots and LOTS of new characters involved. Even David Weber is challenged to make believable and interesting, the crumbling of a huge huge space empire the way Mesa/Manpower is going to do it.
