Forget those megative reviews. The reason this didnt work for them is because they ignored the installation video. You MUST warm the gasket upon opening it......best way is to put it in a clothes dryer for 10 min. It will soften and take its proper shape. After warming lay it down til you install it. After installing if it has gaps use a hair dryer on high and run it back and forth til it seals properly. You may have to press on it while using the hair dryer. Afterwards run the hair dryer slowly all ove 4 sided to be sure you seal what you cant see.....WORKS GREAT ...GREAT PRODUCT..Good quality!

I first soaked this gasket in a tub of hot water to soften it. This worked to soften it. The problem is, once installed, there was too much of a gap between the gasket and the freezer itself. I worked it with a hair dryer in an effort to close the gap with no success. Compared to the original gasket that was being replaced, the new one is not as wide. I had to reinstall the old gasket. Please see the photos, you can clearly see the gap between the gasket and the freezer, these photos were taken with the door locked. The part number is the recommended part, however, it seems not to be the part to correct the issue as it did not fix the problem.

The magnet is very poor. Took 2 weeks of working with a blow dryer & putting foam strips in behind the seal to extend it out to seal the door. Finally got it to seal, had to redefrost the freezer because it had all iced up again. Seems to be working now. My old seal you really had to pull hard to get the door to open. Now it opens with a touch, I have to be sure it is shut completely every time I open it. It use to hiss when you shut it telling you it had sealed. Now it doesn't

Perfect fit. You have to work out the deformities from the packaging. I hung mine up in the garage by two corners and let it dangle in the heat for a couple of days to untwist. Then installed. Used a hair dryer and a flat blade screwdriver to massage the seal until the magnets would hold to the door all the way around. A large hand mirror helps see the lower gasket. Then secured the door with ratchet straps for a day. Worked like a charm. Do not expect to put the seal on, shut the door and walk away. There are some videos online that will help you.

Got the gasket and fit the freezer perfectly but it hasn’t completely sealed yet. It was put in a smaller box to ship and disoriented the shape. Just leaving it flat in the warm house doesn’t work.
