The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms (VHS, 1994)
This was the first movie I ever saw in a theater. I wasn't much more than eight years old and absolutely scared the hell out of me. I hid under the sheets for two or three nights. I bought it just to look at it again and show it to my son who is now 14. It was really fun to watch it all I wasn't nearly as terrifying this time is the first time, with all humor intended. My son enjoyed it although he said Harry Potter was a lot better. However, for its time it was certainly a very good movie and one well worth buying for looking at again. The monster was well done, didn't look at all like those fake Godzillas or other monsters of that. Or later periods. Great--Classic 50's monster movie!!! The visual effects were remarkable for that time--even now!!! Paula Raymond is a beauty who enhances any movie as this genre is one of her best-a real heroine!!!
