Working caboose with extra features.
This is wonderful! It is so warm and cozy inside with the wood stove and the queen size bed when it is snowing and blowing in the night. The rhythm of the rails rocks us asleep gently as the great locomotive draws us powerfully across the plains and into the Rocky Mountains. On summer nights we climb up the ladder to the roof and lie on our backs watching the starry sky flowing by. We especially like the long hot tub located in the little box just outside our door, and the covered firewood storage across from it. This car is the best - and if the couplers should fail there is always the brake wheel right at hand, where we stand protected by railings from falling under the wheels. Lionel Lines does it again - another stupendous offering for the traveling public!This is wonderful! Awesome Car
In 1948 I received and played with my first Lionel train layout, a "work" train with this caboose at the end of it. When I saw this car on eBay, I knew it was meant to be mine -- as I slowly reconstruct my first Lionel train from 67 years ago. I'm a kid again, and have no intention of going back (to being an adult). Thank you for making this possible!!!
