    Sigma UC II 28 mm - 105 mm: Good value

    This is a decent lens for a great price. The description is for the UC II version, that was made from the late 1980s to the mid 1990s. (The UCII was made from the late 1990s to the early 2000s). I've taken hundreds of pictures with this, though most back in the film camera days, and while they don't have the special "pop" of expensive prime lenses, they have good color balance and are sharp across the frame.

    Not Too Shabby!

    While nowhere near as nice as its faster brother, the 28-105mm f/2.8-4, it is still an excellent lens. A bit of CA/PF, but nothing that can not be dealt with easily. Sharpness is pretty good as is contrast, but again, greatly benefits from a curves adjustment and some local contrast enhancement in post! Cheap lens for the amateur or for the Prosumer who just wants a beat around lens.

    Good lens for the price

    I bought this lens from a previous owner, but it was damaged so I couldn't really try it, and use it. I could only try the manual focus mode and the lowest aperture. In those cases it worked great.

    Good Lens but there is some issue with Sony Alpha DSLR

    Good color reproduction, but not fully compatible with Sony Alpha, slight problem when using internal or external flash F stop maintain at F16 lens is still possible to re Chip according to Gentec International that handles warranty for Sigma product in Canada. I just sent my Lens back to be re Chip covered by warranty.
