I have been using Frontline on my 12 year old Goldendoodle since his first Vet appointment as a puppy. It has treated him well. He has not had any skin reactions to it and it has kept the fleas and ticks away. Occasionally, a tick will bite him but it then dies. But, it has kept him free of Lyme Disease from a tick bite and I've gotten it twice. I wish I had a human version!

ive used this for years but it didnt stop all ticks from biting and attaching. this spring i have changed to nexgard because it also works on heartworms and against lyme disease. but nexgard costs about 3 times as much, and you have to give it at least 6 times a year. if you cant swing $180 or more for your dog, frontline is okay.

I have been using Frontline products on my dogs for years, and Frontline Plus is their latest product with the best features. It is easy to administer. I have gotten best results by placing a drop or two of Frontline every couple of inches along the back of the dog’s neck down to just above the shoulder blades – where the dog cannot lick the product off. It is advertised as being good for 30 days against ticks and fleas. It seems to do a good job against fleas, but I think Advantage might actually be slightly better against fleas – Advantage absolutely wipes out fleas early in the 30 day cycle whereas Frontline always takes awhile longer. As for ticks, it rapidly kills them for about the first two to three weeks, but it then tapers off. At the 30 day mark, it still kill ticks, but sometimes the ticks can live long enough to crawl off the dog and onto something else like you. It is also my experience that Frontline lives up to their water fastness claim as long as you do not bath them within 48 hours of administering it to your dog. My experience comes from dogs that love to swim in water (both fresh and salt water), but I have no experience with how it holds up to dog shampoo. Nonetheless, it is in my experience the best combination flea/tick product that I have used, but it is not perfect. I would say that you can take your dog just about anywhere shortly after administering Frontline, but you might want to stay away from the heavily infested flea and tick areas toward the 30 day mark if you want to ensure that no fleas or ticks tag along back to your house or yard.Read full review
I have been using Frontline Plus on both of my dogs for a few months now and I like it. I dont really have any complaints. Opening the individual pipettes are a little tough but safety first, right? ;o) I recommend this if you cant afford the super expensive stuff. eBay has been the best place to buy these, you cant beat the deals, not even the online petmed sites and costc/samsclub type places.
My dog was losing hair and scratching constantly due to fleas and flea bites. Within a week of using this product she is already scratching less and has new hair growth. I am very pleased with Frontline.
