Under the directing hands of Johnny Pacheco and Jerry Massuci, Fania would turn into the motor of the salsa in the seventies. The songs which were composed during this period, would later turn into classics of the Latin music. Who better than a salsa musician and expert of the salsa culture like Gerardo Rosales to pay tribute to Fania. He organized a live record session in his hometown Amsterdam, with which he wanted to leave a testimony and with which he likes to give continuity to this marvelous music. This CD is also a tribute to the salsa audience, that for many years has been waiting for the opportunity to enjoy this music. Gerardo Rosales has crossed the barrier of time and took away the nostalgia, so he could bring this music to the present. He wishes to share it with new generations and cultures, who feel attracted by the magic of salsa. "Gerardo Rosales y su Trabucombo", from Holland, will keep on spreading the true salsa.
