Is not an exact replacement
The switch is well made of good quality materials but is not an exact replacement for the 200 series John Deere tractors. The threaded portion is shorter than the original and barely protrudes far enough to fasten a retaining nut. There was no nut in the package and I have not been able to find one at a hardware store that fits. It probably fits other John Deere tractors but not the 200, 210, 212, 214 tractors.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not an Exact Fit But Can Be Made To Work
Not an exact fit for a 1977 Deere 212. Different threads and it did not come with nut leaving you to try and use the old mounting nut. Also the switch shaft is a larger diameter so the chrome nut cover must be drilled out if you want to reuse that.
