After oiling, they output 40VRMS, which is enough to ring a phone bell, although not really loudly. The 3 wires are the magneto output between a yellow and green, and a SPST switch which closes to the green outputs when the magneto spins. The magnetos were packed extremely well for shipping. Unfortunately, the description leaves a lot to be desired.
