Created by Marc Silvestri and Michael Turner, "Witchblade - The Complete Series" is a fantasy and sci-fi show based on a comic book from Top Cow that follows Sara "Pez" Pezzini, a New York detective that comes face-to-face with a powerful living weapon. As the story progresses, Sara works to keep Witchblade a secret while she employs it to battle the evils of the world. This seven-disc set of "Witchblade - The Complete Series" contains all 24 episodes of seasons one and two of the fantasy series, as well as the made-for-TV movie version and hours of bonus features. "Witchblade - The Complete Series" won a Saturn award in 2002 for Best Actress and features Yancy Butler as Detective Pez, David Chokachi as Detective Jake McCartney, and Anthony Cistaro as Kenneth Irons. The seven-disc set has a total run time of 19 hours and 56 minutes, providing hours of entertainment. Also included on the DVD is Gabriel's (John Hensley) insight on several episodes, a special soundtrack, and more.

    A piece of comic book history on screen

    I've been in love with this story since Top Cow launched the comic in the 90s. I had this set before but sadly I ended up selling it. The characters are colorful and engaging, wicked soundtrack throughout, and the cinematography is so cool...shots throughout like comic book panels come to life. Some of the CGI hasn't aged well by current standards, however, this doesn't faze me one bit. Again it's a live action presentation of a comic/graphic novel, and because of that and the often over the top nature of this type of media, it doesn't take away from the fun at all. You'll have to see it for yourself. I'm over the moon to have this back in my hands.

    Recommended TV Show

    I was pleasantly surprised by this show. I'd never heard of it but it kept coming up when I was looking in movies and TV shows for something new. It was the right price so decided to give it a try. It's very original plot line, although it sticks with the 'good guys vs bad guys' sub-plot. We are thoroughly enjoying the strong woman lead character. I'm not real happy with the character change happening with Ian, one of the lead male actors. But the one main bad guy was killed off, which was a 'good thing'. Although he is still lurking in ghost-like form. Good special effects and character development. There was a twist not too far into the storyline where the partner was brought back to life in a strange plot twist. But he is a good actor and now, after adjusting to it, we are ...

    Every bit as good as Dark Angel

    Big fan of the show when it first aired, was bummed when it got cancelled. Yancy is superb in her role, and the rest of the cast aint half bad either! Jumped at the chance to purchase this series for my sci-fi library, the minute I saw it available here. Even better the second time around. Strong female lead, Yancy Butler rivals even Jessica Alba in her Dark Angel series.

    THE show TNT should NEVER have Cancelled they know dram

    I have waited for this far too long , old TED screwed the pooch here , folks , TNT should never have Cancelled this show , after all they know drama , ya right blow me ! I just wish TNT would have finished season 3 before they axed it , to much of a cliffhanger , THEY NEED TO MAKE A MOVIE AND FINISH the BLOODY STORY NOW, while the ORIGINAL cast still resembles themselves and before they age anymore !!!!! Only 1 person could be PEZ , and that's Yancy Butler folks !!!! THIS SHOW ROCKED , THE SERIES IS GREAT , I ALMOST HAVE EVERY EPISODE MEMORIZED !!!!YOU NEED TO BUY THIS SUCKER AND ADD IT TO YOUR COLLECTION NOW !!!!     thought provoking

    I love this series, and the idea behind it is fascinating; is time travel possible? Can one identity have multiple, chosen, lives by moving across time layers? The Blade, itself, is a classic token, found in many folktales. The show was well written, cast, and paced.
