John Mays is a 2 time Juno award winner (Canada's Grammy) and was born in 1941 in Dawson, Georgia (same year and hometown as Otis Redding). John "found a love" of music early in life, singing gospel as a child in the 40's, doo-wop in New York during the 50's, soul on the 60's chitlin' circuit, and funk in the 70's with James Brown.     I ordered this LP on the 5th but USPS didn't get it til the 11th..so, as long as you're not in a big hurry to get your record, this seller is great! If you are..well. Shipping was really fast and was packed very well. Album was just as described, brand new and in pristine condition. Seller communication was VERY good. Just recently got into her music and I have to say, she's one of the hidden gems.
