Synopsis
When Mario Puzo's blockbuster saga, The Godfather , was first published in 1969, critics hailed it as one of the greatest novels of our time, and "big, turbulent, highly entertaining." Since then, The Godfather has gone on to become a part of America's national culture, as well as a trilogy of landmark motion pictures. Now, in this newly-repackaged 30th Anniversary Edition, readers old and new can experience this timeless tale of crime for themselves. From the lavish opening scene where Don Corleone entertains guests and conducts business at his daughter's wedding...to his son, Michael, who takes his father's place to fight for his family...to the bloody climax where all family business is finished, The Godfather is an epic story of family, loyalty, and how "men of honor" live in their own world, and die by their own laws.

      The definitive Mafia novel.

The definitive Mafia novel, as compelling as it was when it first came out so long ago. Anybody writing a novel about American organized crime has to deal with it, somehow. The people it depicts actually picked up on the book (mostly via the movie) and started using its terminology.

    • the greatest title ever.

one of the greatest novel of the seventies. Mario Puzo carries you with his imagination to the highest ecstacy of enjoyment with his used of words and simplicity; His mind gives a scenery that will keep turning pages faster that you want to. There is no dull moment in this masterpiece, and from the beginning to the end is a true crime saga of American life. the family with its ways will keep glue to the meaning of their lives. this book will change your life in a positive manner like no other book could. you will learn about business and the crime industry of those years. Read it and let others know about it, so that they can learn too.
