    A Bit Disappointed

    Was really looking forward to replacing my old Sony AM/FM Pocket Radio that has been held together with masking tape for a very long time. Loved the smart look of this Philips Model. So sad to discover that the volume is not very strong and that it chews through the batteries very quickly. If it was just a few millimetres thicker and could accommodate the larger batteries, maybe that would solve both problems. Afraid to say that my old, battered, taped up Sony is back in service again - thank goodness I didn't toss it out! Kind regards Di de Castellanos

    Great little radio, but.

    This unit has great sound & good reception but like most small wheel tuned radios, it is difficult to tune accurately and it could be improved by shifting the earphone socket to the top deck, so it could more easily be placed in the shirt pocket.
