No provision for a light or a red dot - I could tell that from the pictures and I wanted it this way, I just pass it along for your consideration. No retaining clip - HOWEVER, I put my fully loaded pistol in, held it upside down and shook it over my bed and it took 8-9 times to come out. I am not going to be playing Spider Man so I feel this retention is more than adequate. Thank you VERY much!
