    Great Build quality with one caveat

    Great build quality and I expect it to last a lifetime. The one issue I have with it is there are no other size tips available that I can find. Included in the instructions is the info needed to order additional tips but no optional sizes. When working on smaller projects it will be necessary to have a small soldering iron as well. Kind of a hassle, but I understand.

    Best Soldering Gun Out There

    I do a lot of soldering and have used many different types of Guns and Irons. This LG400C is an excellent Gun! It is American made and is a great value. The Ceramic Heating Cartridge and Tip assembly heat up quickly and evenly. They transfer to the soldering project better than any Gun I have used. The Tip does not oxidize and is easily cleaned with a fine wire brush for the next job. The screw-in E12 Based 7 Watt Incandescent Light is nice and is easily upgraded to the latest Screw-in Base E12 800 Lumen LED Bulb. Very pleased with this Gun!

    Wall LG400C Soldering Gun

    Heats up very fast and high tip temp allows fast soldering of even heavy gauge wire. Solders 3 #12 stranded wire with ease. Best soldering gun I have ever used. Angled tip can be preloaded with solder for fast joints without flux slag contaminating joint. Work light almost useless. It does give an indication of when gun is on. LED would provide better work lighting.
