    Great DVD player for the price!

    We were looking for a portable player to carry-on an airplane or the occasional long road trips that the family takes. Basically, we needed a player that supported divx encoding. Most other players were priced at higher than $150, but some of these came with larger screens (a plus!) My only issue with this player is with the sound. My small Dell laptop has far better sound reproduction that this DVD player! I highly recommend using the audio input of the car stereo (if available). This is not an issue if you are connecting to a TV using the A/V cables that are provided. Overall, we are very happy with our purchase. It plays DVDs (and avi files) without any issues. The bright screen can be viewed from a very wide angle.

    This unit comes standard with an impressive set of features. Along with being able to play about every file type available including DivX, Xvid and mp3, it also takes files from at least 3 sources, optical discs (CDs,DVDs including +,- R and RW) SD card slot and USB storage mediums plus it has an input / output switch that allows it to use the wide array of jacks to either input or output to and from additional sources like home theater systems without having to purchase additional cables - they all came with it! The Dolby sound is impressive and the swivel screen is handy - even allowing it to fold back against itself for back seat viewing in the included headrest pouch. The l-ion battery has decent play time. The only gripe I have is that it said twice on the box that it had dual ...

    Coby TF-DVD7377 7 in Port. DVD Player with Swivel Scree

    I really like this dvd player. It swivels! When it is running it is not loud like I read about with the Phillip's brand. The sound quality is good, not like some audiovox brands. When purchased new, this player also comes with remote, car adapter and headrest bag. The only draw back about this product is that the battery life last about 2 1/2 hours. But this really is average for DVD players in this price range. So I knew what to expect before hand.

    3 hour breaks between classes? No problem.

    This unit is surprisingly good. It plays DivX as well, which is great. Unit has a pretty good battery life(I got 3.5 hours last time). If you want the battery to last longer, get yourself a 16 GB SD card, and dump movies on that(DivX would be the best format to use)and watch away. Unit comes with a seat mount for the car, a car charger, a wall charger, a remote(and far reaching at that,)and AV cables to connect to any TV. Soooo... all in all, great deal. Get it.

    This unit is one of the BEST available. It is one of the ONLY Portable DVD players that has a USB port AND an SD card slot and works with numerous formats. The battery runs for about 2 hours, and is removabale. COBY sells the batteries for under $50.00 if you need to replace it or just want an additional one. The swivel screen folds flat, fits nicely into the protective case provided, and can be hung on a vehicle's visor or behind its front seats. I have owned one for one year, and bought this second unit as a gift.
