I've been burned on ebay in the past. This Item listed as "open box". Price was very attractive but not inexpensive. Authorized dealer for Rode persuaded me to take a chance. Item as described. Yes box was opened but item looks and works virtually new. Only the spring adjustment knob on one of the mic holders was broken. Even if I can't fix that with crazy glue, it's still usable and definitely worth the discount. Very satisfied.

    Great Microphone

    This is so well designed. It just works... Plug it in (USB), and start speaking. It captures your voice and makes recordings sound like you're right there in the room with the listener. It also does a nice job isolating your voice and does not pick up as much background noise as a condenser mic (like the Blue Yeti), so it's a little more forgiving for home podcasters.

    Rode Podcaster Professional Microphone

    I have a lot of Microphone's I can pick from in my studio. Why did I fell than like I had to have this mic. (The Rode Podcaster Professional Microphone) I just had a feeling that with all the podcasting I do it would be good to have a unit that did just that. Boy was I right!!! This baby is the best podcasting Microphone I have ever used ever!!! My speech has never been so radio quality, and there is no background noise. I love this thing. It sounds better than a mic at three times the price for podcasting. If you have been on the fence about the Rode get off and go get one. Don't buy the cheep china model you have been looking at and trying to talk yourself into. You will be a sad person with a big empty hole in yourself. Go out spend the money and buy the Rode, you will be happy and all ...

    Great mic for anyone looking for a professional USB microphone.

    Amazing microphone....excellent build quality. Definitely lives up to Rode's reputation in the audio world. Very solid construction. Very easy to setup. Built in headphone jack for 0 delay monitoring. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a professional grade USB microphone. I bought this because I was looking for a no fuss solution to improving the audio of my teaching videos. Very happy with my decision.
