    This is a GREAT press. However, the metal plate is not only very, very sharp... it really doesn't work because it slips. It's also unnecessarily heavy. It's pretty useless. I replaced it with a 1/2 inch piece of poplar plywood (get a 2' x 2' piece from home despot, & you get 2 - 10 1/2 inch by 24 inch plates). The blanket is also not good, replaced it also. OVERALL, THIS IS A GREAT PRESS. You should not hesitate to buy it. The seller shipped lightning fast, and offered great communication.

    This prese has given me a whole new light. I have been printing by hand with a spoon and little will to live. The plate does slide. We fixed it by putting duct tape so it would catch.
