For those who are looking for a replacement scriber for your Starret 454 12in. model this is NOT a direct replacement. I didn't accurately (enough) measure the dimensions of the one's I already had and this part is shy about 0.033" in the height dimension. This is a problem for the existing clamp in the 454 in that the small spring leaf under the clamping screw will come lose when you clamp this Lufkin part - ignore or shim as needed.
