While i tried raising the funds, she implied to me that if it didn’t sell, she would lower the price, but even after three years she refused to do so, saying she liked wearing it too much herself. I finally raised the funds to buy it at her full asking price and paid for the items, she said it was lost and issued an unprompted refund. I explained this to the buyer, and said I would do all in my power to get his back. I thought issuing him an immediate refund while I endeavored to get the shirt back was the ethical thing to do. I FULLY understand disappointment, but he knew the back story & shouldn't have taken it out on me. (I've just recovered the shirt BTW)
