This is the second offering in Stephanie Meyer's surprisingly appealing paranormal romance about teens in a small Washington state town. I picked the first book up out of curiosity and a certain amount of preconceived disdain, and I was won over. I didn't like the second book quite as well as the first because the introduction of werewolves into the story was just such a strain to my ability to believe. (I know, I know. Anyone who could suspend belief and accept vampires should be able to do the same with werewolves.) Nonetheless, I enjoyed this book a great deal. Stephanie Meyer really excels at developing torturous romantic tension. I have also really enjoyed the heroine, Bella, a high school student. I find her to be a believable, average young woman. I wouldn't mind my daughter or ...

  • Great book!

Despite that I first became a Twilight fan due to seeing the movie, I have now since then read Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse. Without giving too much away I would have to say that I like Eclipse because it is very much about Edward and Jacob, where as Twilight was more about Edward and New Moon was more about Jacob. I love the way Stephanie Meyer's displays how the 2 characters contrast in an obvious way, but how they also are similar in a subtle way through Bella. Also with each book you learn a little more about the characters, and I particularly loved learning more about Jasper in this book. Therefore, I highly recommend this book, it does a great job of continuing a wonderful story, and if you have read Twilight and New Moon then you just have to read Eclipse!

  • Don't get the attraction...

Stephanie's stories are obvious rip-offs from other author's vampire stories. The genre is NOT tapped out, see PN Elrod, Jim Butcher, et al. LJ Smith should sue for plagiarism. AND VAMPIRES DON'T SPARKLE!! ;-) My daughter drank the kool-aid though, so to speak.

  • Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer (2007)

The Movie was great (twilight) and could not wait to see what happens until the next movie comes out (I think someone said in November). So I decided to buy it, I could not put it down. I am almost finished with the third book and have the fourth one waiting to be read. I have also ordered her book "THE HOST"

Like everyone else around the world I think Edward Cullen is cool, suave, tuff guy, and gorgeous. I am following the book series, movies, tabloids or anything that has to do with him. Edward is TWILIGHT!!!! However, I bought the Eclipse book not realizing it was in Spanish and had to return it.
