Great find! I’ve been looking for this and considered two other options. This one looked most promising. When I got it, it was even better then the picture! Plus, the extra detail in packaging made it perfect.

Fast shipping. Nice quality and functioned perfectly with my 1944 Mauser P-38.

I didn't really need another P38 magazine, but I wanted to see how one of these USA-made magazines would function in my WWII (1942) Walther P38. I'm happy to say it fed and functioned perfectly. At this price, I'll probably order some more, and save wear and tear on my original WaffenAmt magazines.

Suitable replacement for a Beretta Model 1951 magazine

I purchased this magazine to convert it to use for as Beretta model 1951 magazine which costs nearly twice as much. It is easy to notch the magazine to fit a Beretta model 1951 pistol. Disassemble the magazine, fit it into the Beretta model 1951 magazine well, mark the latch position, then drill 1 1/4" hole and finish shaping with a dremel tool to get a match to the magazine latch. The magazine slides smoothly in and out the magazine well, locks the carrier after the last round is fired and fits almost flush with the bottom of the magazine well (extends by about 2mm). It has an all steel construction which makes it very durable and strong. What I didn't like about this product was the fit of the base plate to the magazine. It took gripping the base plate with pliers to pull it off ...

Pro-Mag P-38 Magazines: Good for range use.

While I found the price of the Pro Mag 9mm, P-38 magazines to be reasonable, I am not able to load them with the eight rounds as indicated in the advertisement. In fact, Its a struggle to insert the seventh round. I disassembled the Pro-Mag and compared it with the original magazines that came with my P-38, but I can't see any difference between them. I will continue to use the Pro-Mags because I can't beat the price. I would recommend these magazines only on the basis of the price.

  • Best Magazines for the P38 & P1

A few years ago, I needed an extra practice magazine for my Walther P38. I save my original factory mags. Since I was using a pro-Mag for another pistol, I chose Pro-Mag again and I could not believe it worked as well as the factories--and always looked better. I made a major move across country and much of my belongings are still in storage. Young relatives helped with packing and priorities differ, so only heaven knows which carton holds my magazines. I ordered Pro-Mag because I knew it would do, and then I ordered more. Feel better now. Do not ever want to use the Walther to defend home and family; nonetheless, with Pro-Mag I have one fewer concern.

  • Not Close to Walther's Quality

Hard to insert rounds. IMI 115g cartridges jammed during feed with a few misfeeds v.v. don't slide smooth up throat. I haven't ever had trouble with IMI's getting stuck with OEM. Finish is not as durable as OEM ... already look nearly like 20 yr. old specimen after a couple dozen insertions. Wouldn't stake my life on these mags.

  • Needs a little massaging...

I used the new Walther magazine and it worked fine after the first three rounds. Until then, it was tight and didn't feed very well. I had to disassemble it and clean up the follower, now it works fine.
