    • Real Estate Investing For Dummies

This is a very well written book aimed at the beginner's level of Real Estate Investing. Although written for beginners, it is very comprehensive and does an excellent job of covering all the basics of a complex subject in a non-technical language anyone can understand. People wishing to develop a basic understanding of investing in real estate will enjoy this book and find it very useful and informative.

    • I love dummies books !!!

I have bought several dummies books over the years and leanred quite a lot from them. Although this book lacks alot of the marketing ideas, and guerilla tactics for finding properties is does state things factually and give some great real world knowledge. I like how dummies enlists industry experts to write their books. Seasoned investors will get very little from this (The title kind of implies that) but it is a MUST for the person who is curious to find out what the basic principles of real estate investing is.

    • A good book but likely too advanced for true dummies

Well, let me be honest. It's a great book until you get to about the middle. At that point, the title loses it's meaning. The book covers some great basics but they tried to cram WAY too much into a basic book for dummies. At about midway, it gets so complicated that you have to read it several times to get most of it and that is if you are intelligent at business matters. Those who have no business sense will be so lost after the first quarter of the book that they will stop reading it.If you are truely new to real estate, buy the book for the first fourth of it. the rest is for pros and developers!
