    The Cirque is amazing!

    We actually went & saw Allegria which prompted me to buy this DVD. The version we saw was a bit different & I feel better than the version shown on this DVD. But this version is pretty amazing anyway, as all Cirque shows are. For those not familiar, Cirque de Soleil is circus performers, sans animals, performing their craft to a story. There is music performed by their own orchestra, singing as well as death defying acts, acrobats, brilliant costumes, feats of strength & hysterical clowns. Many of the acts are European based & things you would not see in a normal circus. The story helps things move a long & there is always something going on, which is one of the few problems with seeing a live Cirque show is that it is difficult to keep your eyes on one thing.     If you enjoy good wholesome family entertainment, this is the DVD to watch!! What is so amazing about it is you can watch it over and over again. Each time you watch it, there is something new that you haven't seen in each performance. Entertaining, colorful and a total delight while sitting right in your livingroom!! You can not go wrong with this DVD!! It's not like the boring, typical usual circus acts that you have seen. This is well thought out with awesome costumes, music and make up like none you have ever seen. You get to learn about the performers and how CIRQUE DU SOLEIL:ALEGRIA - came about. It's worth every cent and more!!

    Alegria (DVD)

    What I loved about this DVD is the music. I saw Alegria when it came to New York many years ago. The music was very memorable, but having it on the DVD will be more than just a memory. It will be accessible everytime I feel like listening to very passionate music of the Cirque Du Soleil. It is definitely much better seeing it in real life in order to appreciate its choreography. However, for those who have never seen it in person, you will get the gist of what it is all about and know that it is a great show. It is very enjoyable.

    GREAT SHOW!

    I aw this show live many years ago and was awe-struck at how professional and entertaining it as flowing from one act to the next. Someone gave me the DVD in an EMPTY case, so this is replaces it! Especially love the lonely clown and blizzard which was AMAZING!
