    A Civil War standard lives up to reputation

    Since I'm working on building a Civil War library one of the areas to start is with the classics. Wileys books should be included in this classification. The book is broken up into easy to manage pieces and can be put down and picked back up again without trouble. The writing is easy to read. With the book being 60+ years old more modern scholarship is not included nor are more recently found primary sources (Wiley relies heavily on accounts written by those that were there). This is nothing to worry about though as there is plenty to take in. A must have for a basic Civil War library.
