      An excellent ebook reader with wifi capabilities. Perfect size, easy to read as you can change font size. Clear, backlit screen. 4gb storage for hundreds of books, and there are many free ones available via Amazon.

      Reading in the dark just got easier...

      For the last 5 or 6 years I've been using a 3rd generation kindle (the one with the keyboard) I loved it, easy to use and navigate. I always read at night and having the bedside lamp on until the early hours disturbed my husband. So I asked him to buy me a new kindle for my birthday, one with a backlight so I didn't need the lamp, and this is what he got me... It's taken me a few weeks to get used to it, loading my books into collections again, working out what downloaded, all, and the little ticks by the books all meant (helps if you read the built in manual I suppose) but I'm slowly getting to grips with it. The definite bonus is the back-lit screen. No more lamp needed, and I can read to my hearts content, in the light, in the dark, in bright sunlight... Its good. I'd prefer it if the ...

      Good value for the price. The case is a bit scruffy and there are a few 'pin holes' on the screen but frankly you don't notice them once you are reading. The battery life is not great compared to what a new reader would be but is acceptable. This reader is perfect for reading in the garden or anywhere sunny.

      bought for holidays,but used all the time

      as above i bought this because i was sick of taking my other kindles on holiday,but not being able to use them on the beach in sunlight,i asked a couple on the next beds to us what they were using and they told me to get a kindle paperwhite,i could see they used theirs every day so i bought 1,not had it on holiday yet but i read every day and it is lighter than my other kindles,and seems to have a great battery life.

      The reason I gave it 4 star is because there is a small crack (1cm length) to the screen. Only noticeable in certain lights and doesn’t affect the quality of the product, but it didn’t state there was a little crack in the screen on the product information. Otherwise I’d give a 5 star
