The Hanna Instruments HI 991003 is a waterproof, portable pH, pH-mV, oxygen reduction potential (ORP)/mV, and temperature meter used in water treatment applications with Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC), automatic calibration at one or two points, a multilevel LCD screen, a pre-amplified pH/ORP probe with internal temperature sensor, and a battery error prevention system. A pH meter is commonly used to measure the pH of substance such as water, food, beer, or wine in laboratory, industrial, and food applications. An ORP meter, also known as a redox potential tester, measures the oxidization or reduction capacity of a solution, and monitors chemical reactions and ion activity. The multilevel LCD screen simultaneously displays the current measurement, the current temperature, and tutorial messages. This meter has ATC from -5.0 to 105.0 degrees C (23.0 to 221.0 degrees F) for accurate readings in fluctuating temperatures.
